Hi, this post is about deep sea creatures.

Thank the new blue planet II on Sky or BBC iPlayer for the info!

Here are some marine animals you can learn about:

First, the barreleye. This fishes head is full of jelly so it can look up through it’s skull!

As you can see, there are two bright green eyes that point upwards too spot it’s prey. They are normally found in the midnight zone of the sea so it is hard to see then without light.

Second, the cockeyed squid. This squid had one eye pointing down, but one green eye pointing up.

The mid ocean ridge is a volcano range in the middle of the worlds oceans.

The volcanos all together are 40,390 miles long.

They are completely under the sea but are destroying the ocean. From time to time, the volcanos erupt and rip apart the life underwater.

Exiting news from blue planet II!

The blue planet II team have recently discovered that a fish live at the bottom of the Mariana Trench! This means that this snailfish can live through extreme amounts of pressure so high that it is the ONLY type of fish down there! Knowing that a fish can live under that amount of pressure, they have assumed life could be found on Saturn and Jupiter!
