Tropical grasslands, also known as savannahs, are vast open landscapes situated primarily near the equator; these regions receive insufficient rainfall to support a tropical forest, but just enough to prevent desertification.

Covering only a minuscule 6% of Earth’s surface, tropical forests, also known as rainforests, are some of the most biodiverse ecosystems on our planet. These dense, lush environments are sanctuary to a remarkable 80% of all known species.


Arctic tundra, sometimes referred to as Arctic deserts, are some of the toughest and hostile places on our planet. Far-flung frontiers in the furtherest reaches of the North, these desolate environments have to withstand conditions such as snowstorms and blizzards.
